Biography

Tareq is a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering at the Center of Urban Innovation, Laboratory of Innovations in Transportation (LiTrans), Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada. Tareq has ten years of experience in senior leadership positions directing programs with funding portfolios of up to 50 million USD per year from large institutional and governmental donors to implement multi-sectoral development projects in the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Turkey, Philippines, Jordan, Sudan, and others. Tareq received his B.Sc. and M. Sc. in Civil Engineering in 2012 and 2016, respectively, both from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Jordan. He started his Ph.D. in September 2022 under the supervision of Dr. Bilal Farooq, and his research focuses on the electrification of light-duty vehicle fleets and anthropogenic analysis.
