Dr. Sanaullah Appointed Senior Safety Research Advisor at MTO

Dr. Irum Sanaullah has been appointed as a Senior Safety Research Advisor at the Ministry of Transportation (MTO). Irum was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Innovations in Transportation (LITrans) in 2019 and she worked with Dr. Bilal Farooq to analyze the performance of Belleville’s on-demand transit project. Irum completed her Ph.D. in Intelligent Transportation Systems from Loughborough University, UK, in 2013. She has been working in different research areas including road safety, autonomous vehicles, GPS data and travel time estimation, and sustainable transportation. She is also teaching Transportation subjects at the University of Toronto.
